The “STEM-A-GIRL” project by She Code Africa empowers girls aged 10-21 from marginalized communities in Nigeria. It helps them overcome learning barriers such as limited or no access to quality education, gender stereotypes, and lack of role models. The project aims to enable these girls to gain valuable digital skills and become confident leaders in STEM. She Code Africa is a non-profit organization with a mission to bridge the gender gap in tech by empowering girls and women with digital skills in technology across Africa. To date, She Code Africa has empowered over 62,000 African girls and women with tech skills, resources, and employment opportunities in the industry. The organization offers a variety of training programs to equip its beneficiaries for success. With an active community of over 50,000 members, She Code Africa is recognized as the largest women in tech community in Africa, with members from across 20+ African countries.
