MicroMek

The MicroMek "Drones4STEM" Education program aims to enroll at least 150 girls from low-income families, school dropouts, secondary schools, and colleges with little to no prior exposure to STEM education. The participants will receive training in drone technology, including building and piloting drones for applications such as disaster response mapping, agriculture monitoring, and delivering medicine to remote areas. The program will consist of at least 6 cohorts, each enrolling 20 girls and spanning 4 to 6 weeks over a 1-year period. Participants will also receive guidance in entrepreneurship skills with the aim of starting tech startups. MicroMek will provide free co-working space through its MakerzSpace to incubate and nurture the startups.
